I liked the course very much. I went from knowing a few words and expressions that I learned from travelling to being able to speak elementary sentences. Baby steps, but it's a beginning.

Rolando is an awesome teacher. Such great energy every Monday. It was a very structured class but mixed with humor. I also really enjoyed the book and the format it followed

Very helpful. Material is concise and easy to comprehend rather than lots of information at once.

This class helped my Spanish so much more than I was expecting. I came in understanding a lot more than I could speak, and now I have the confidence and tools to speak with co-workers in Spanish.

This is an engaging and interactive course focused on grammatical and semantic correctness. The instructor also makes learning quite fun. All said, this class was the perfect choice for me.

The Beginner course exceeded my expectations. The written materials are well-organized and got me, a newcomer to the language, oriented to the basics quickly. The classroom experience was very positive, as well. I've signed up for the next level of classes because the first level was so good!

Let's just say I was not disappointed. It was exactly what I was looking for. The course is easy to follow, and the instructor is more than willing to help. I studied 5 languages, this will be my 6th and I know what works. This one does and I am interested to continue my study here.

I had gone to a one time class to learn Spanish before. The things I learned there were not nearly enough comparative to my first lesson at Berges. The book I was given was simple and very well written. I could read it on my own and understand. Also it was included in the course so no surprise fees or extra for books and materials.

Great school in heart if the city. Really nice and welcoming stuff. Price is more than fair for what am I getting back. Fact that 2 months ago I could only say few words...and now i am able to answer and to ask simple questions, use around 30 verbs and maybe have vocabulary of around 200 words is more than amazing if you ask me. Only thing I don't like is that is only once per week and the fact that sometimes we lose too much time on reviewing homework because some students don't do it at home. Of course it has nothing with the school, just mentioning. Anyways, for sure im going on next level!

The Graf Method for learning Spanish is excellent. I was very pleased with how the lessons were presented, the material and the way the classes moved quickly where necessary. I also was very please with a private lesson I had that covered 3 lessons I had missed. The instructor, Rolando González, moved me through the material easily and quickly. I highly recommend the Method and form of instruction. Dr. Louise Menlo

Love this course and the format. Have tried Instituto Cervantes in the past but found this a lot easier to follow and understand. Looking forward to level 2 !

The course is very well planned and executed. The combination of classroom lessons plus homework specific to that week's lesson helps to reinforce one's learning. The pace of learning is good. Overall, an excellent course.

learning a new language is a challenge but the way this course is designed made it easy to follow and the exercises after each lesson help to retain the lesson and you can go back over and over .Also the teacher made it a fun process which helped a great deal.

As an absolute beginner this course has taught me the basics of understanding Spanish and it has stimulated me to continue to the next level. I feel confident that in due course it will be possible to learn a new language in a classroom setting with a few other students that stimulate the conversation but the group is small enough to get time and attention for individual guidance.

Not only best Spanish/foriegn language class, the school actually uses probably the best teaching technique that I have ever seen (I have taken classes in Spanish before and also in my professional field-medicine-for at least two decades now). I am looking forward to joining them for the next level!

I completed Level 1 in July 2016. The Graf method is an excellent tool and I found the technique easy to adapt to and learn from. Of course, there is Nicholas, our class' professor. Excellent instructor!!! I'll return for Level 2.

I am very happy that I took this class, it totally met my expectations. The book and the method are great, everything is organized, and I appreciate the reminder emails for schedule and homework. It is very good to have the option to make up for a class on another day if one cannot attend the regular class. Víctor S. at the front desk is super helpful.

I very much enjoyed this course. Having taken Spanish in middle and high school may years ago, I was worried the beginner class would be too easy but it was a great refresher course. The pace was very good and I feel like I learned (or remembered) a lot.

Love this course. I've learned so much, so quickly - my partner who is a native Spanish speaker is so impressed. Can't wait for the next level.

Level 1. Moves quickly. You learn the basic things such as locations. Time. Days. Months. Greetings. I love how they teach you how to actually pronounce things and not just memorize words

The grammar based Graf Method is superior to other language-learning methods that I have experienced. It is by far the best method for a non-native speaker to learn to speak in Spanish. The classes are affordable. The free workbook is concise and easy to follow. Being of good quality and design, it is easy to carry and work with. The teachers make sure the homework is thoroughly reviewed and questions are answered before moving on to the next lesson.

I loved taking Spanish at Berges Institute. I started Spanish Level 1/Beginners with some very basic vocabulary but no formal teaching. The first week I thought I knew too much for Beginners but soon found out I had WAY more to learn! I had to opportunity to work with more than one instructor, and found each one to be happy, patient, kind, and super talented at teaching. The more you becoming involved with your class and open up to learning, speaking out loud, and contributing thoughts, ideas, and examples the more you get out of your class. I can't wait to continue learning and developing my new language skills at Berges.

Course is well structured but goes a little fast. I had a few different teachers and each one was very clear in presenting the lesson and answered questions with clarity. They also wrote on the blackboard for additional help.

I really enjoyed the class and Nicolas the one suggestion I would have is not having class right back to back but spacing them a little so students can ask follow ups with the instructor.

Great for someone who does not have much time to dedicate to learning Spanish. Work load is reasonable and the pace of introducing information is perfect. The structure of attending an actual class creates the motivation to study. The emails from the Institute are good "add-ons" to the experience. Lots of flexibility to reschedule missed classes.

Learnt so much in the ten classes, more than what i had expected. Wish we had more materials though - maybe a cd where we can bring home to do a listening test? Or even a student portal where materials could be posted there. The weekly emails are good, with tips on how to master the languages and app suggestions and more.

I truly was an absolute beginner, but was never made to feel that way. I felt comfortable participating, asking questions and making more than my share of mistakes. We had some laughs and I learned some espanol. The Saturday offering was convenient for me as I came in from New Jersey every week.

I liked that the course was aimed at adults, and that we learned about systems that we could apply (rather than just phrases to repeat). The learning was well paced with a good amount of homework each week.

Never before have I taken a foreign language course (outside of standard high school classes), so I don't have anything to compare to my Berges experience. That being said, I am impressed with the teaching logic employed. Within the first class, we were learning to construct complete sentences. I felt like we really dove into things from the onset, instead of learning in a more tedious fashion. I look forward to moving up to Level 2!

I really liked the course. Dan had unique way of teaching wherein we would revise homework with conversing with each other in Spanish. I feel strongly that I have strong fundamentals in Spanish basics after the course.

Really like the instructor. Great personality and very good at teaching. Also like the progression of the material. However, I find that the homeworks can be a bit repetitive and distract/take time away from the course itself, which can result in a slower pace.

The course taught us the Spanish alphabet and helped us to be able to talk about ourselves, friends and family as well as things that please us and don't please us. We also learned time and the numbers.

I absolutely loved this class. The small class size make for an excellent learning environment. It allows the class to be engaging and interactive - much needed when learning a language. The structure of the program is very straightforward. I am amazed how much I've learned in such a short period of time. The homework assignments are very helpful and truly solidify the knowledge base. I really liked that the instructor explained the different rules between Spain and Latin America. He explained how native speakers use the language.
