Futuro compuesto (future perfect)
Con un uso muy similar al pluscuamperfecto, podemos construir en español un futuro compuesto (equivale al future perfect en inglés, I will have + participle). Al igual que en inglés, usamos este tiempo para indicar que una acción en el futuro va a suceder y terminar antes que otra.
💂 With a very similar usage to the past perfect, we can build in Spanish a compound future tense (equivalent to the future perfect in English, I will have + participle). As in English, we use this tense to indicate that one action in the future is going to happen and end before another.
By the time Juan gets here, I will have already finished my essay.
El problema es que la acción que sucede en segundo lugar (by the time Juan gets here) necesita usar el modo subjuntivo (se verá en el volumen 5) en español. Así que, por ahora, no podemos usar este tiempo de manera completa. Podemos usarlo utilizando días u horas como referencia, no teniendo un verbo en la acción que sucede más tarde.
💂 The problem is that the action that happens second (by the time Juan gets here) needs to use the subjunctive mood (which will be seen in volume 5) in Spanish. So, for now, we cannot use this tense completely. We can use it by using days or hours as a reference, not having a verb in the action that happens later.
Habré terminado mi libro antes del viernes. (I will have finished my book before Friday).
A las 7, Sara ya habrá llegado a la estación. (By 7, Sara will have already arrived at the station). (Lit. "At 7".)

Se traduce como I will have driven, you will have driven, etc.

Existe un cuarto tiempo compuesto llamado pretérito anterior (hube manejado, hubiste manejado, hubo manejado, hubimos manejado, hubieron manejado). Este tiempo está en desuso. Cuando hablamos en pasado, usamos siempre el pretérito pluscuamperfecto que hemos estado estudiando.
💂 There is a fourth compound tense called pretérito anterior (hube manejado, hubiste manejado, hubo manejado, hubimos manejado, hubieron manejado). This tense is in disuse. When we speak in the past, we always use the pretérito pluscuamperfecto that we have been studying.
