STORIES FROM THE PAST

2 reviews

In this workshop we’ll attempt to clarify the uses of the two past tenses when telling stories. The preterite is very straightforward, but the imperfect, as you’ll know if you have taken Level 3 with us, has two main uses: an easy-to-understand one (habits in the past: I used to do something, I would always do something) and a hard-to-understand one (thoughts, states, descriptions of a scene). This workshop focuses on the latter.

Great workshop. Very succinct. We went over basics about the past tenses and how to use them, and did some quick, practical exercises as a group. Highly recommend!

The course had a good content. Gives good examples of the differences between perfect and imperfect past tenses.
