I tested for Level II but felt unprepared. I needed more information at lower level and because the class moves quickly with the introduction of new material and past tense verbs, I started to get lost I also was more available to study the first 4 weeks, but got busy with work later and lost study time and class time. I tried but in the end not enough. Class was explained very well- and clearly by Elena and Sylvia. I felt they were under pressure to cover a lot including homework in 1.5 hours. I would have preferred a two hour class and lots more practice. But I didn't do my share but really enjoyed it .

I started taking classes because nothing else seemed to suit my learning style (apps and immersion only went so far!). This class has been a revelation and has helped me communicate with my partner and her family in their native language. Looking forward to completing all five levels!

I really like how it's designed, focusing on grammar, learning vocabulary along the way. I liked that every class started with Maria asking questions using the grammar we learned in the previous class. There's a lot of interaction, which is great.

I really enjoyed this level with Eva! There was a lot of conversation and she pushed us to speak Spanish as much as possible. Very supportive and understanding if we didn’t know how to express something.

The course was structured well, with the most difficult information at the beginning and simpler stuff at the end. The practice questions were extremely helpful

I really enjoy having a live class environment. While the apps are nice for vocabulary, being able to speak with other students and ask questions is invaluable to me. Julia Negrete as a professor is extremely patient, encouraging and has helped me grow quite a bit.

The course was about as good as a group class can be when you have students of different mother tongues, different experience levels, and different motivation levels. I may just do privates for the next level.

I feel that I learned a lot in this class especially from the interactive games and conversations that we participated in towards the end of each class. Jennifer offered just enough guidance yet liberty for us to develop our skills.

The course was fantastic. We had four people in most of our sessions; and we built camaraderie throughout the weeks. The sessions were segmented into specific learning modes, some were easier than others. Our instructor was receptive to our questions and eager for us to grasp and understand grammar.

Serious study on a daily basis, including doing the homework and going over the material between classes should lead to a very rewarding result. Juan Carlos works hard in the class, makes sure to involve every student, patiently answers questions, explains concepts very well, and is generous with his time, often starting a little early and gladly staying late. The written materials are very well done as well. Berges Institute has a very excellent product, with equally excellent instruction! I learned a great deal!!!

I like how the Berges Institute is set up with homework and a test because i makes you keep up and work consistently. Juan Carlos is very patient. He keeps his class light and fun while still getting lots of work done.

I took Spanish in High School but haven't really touched it / used it since. I started at level 2 and still felt like I was learning new things despite being relatively familiar with Spanish. There's a large focus on grammar, which was very helpful for reading and understanding, but there's also lots of speaking that happens in class to flex those skills. All in all, I loved taking this class at Berges Institute and I already signed up for my next class!

The scaffolds of the course are such that students are able to practice the skills we learn between classes during our weekly meetings. It's a wonderful opportunity to use the language we are practicing through homework in dynamic situations. The instructor is there to answer questions and help us improve!

The class is great. Edgardo makes the learning fun; it's challenging to remember all the vocabulary but, before you know it, real progress is made. Everyone gets to speak Spanish each week. I highly recommend this class.

Level 2 Spanish was obviously a build on top of level 1, where we learned basics, present tense and vocabulary, here we learned about past tense, more descriptive vocabulary plus a few other things. I love the way that this course is taught and how although I needed to know the basics, I do not feel like I need to know every single vocabulary word given to carry on. I practice often and I felt like at the end of this course I am closer to being conversational. I certainly can read paragraphs and write paragraphs (ONES PROVIDED IN CLASS! I am not that advanced). Jesus is a great teacher and I believe does an excellent job of making what he teaches very relevant to how language is used in general and of course in Mexico. I like that he points out cultural differences. I am moving on to level 3 and plan on completing every level and course work Berges Institute offers.

As a couple who had taken Classes together in Level 2 Spanish at the Berges Institute with Instructor Alejandro Navarro we feel compelled to again continue to mention the awesome time we had during our Level 2 Class same as when we had taken the Beginners Class here at Berges and with Navarro as well.

I started doing some language learning on apps, which definitely provided a good foundation. Being in a classroom is much different. Speaking to one another is critical. The text book provides ample information and real-life situations to practice, as well.

The course was great for Level 2. I tested into Level 3 but decided to start with Level 2 con Monica and am very glad I did. She kept the class focused yet playful. I would definitely take classes with her again! Monica + Duolingo + Reggaeton = Spanish MASTER!

I didn't expect much signing up for this class but it was absolutely amazing. Loved my teacher Melissa! She is awesome! There were only a few folks in the same class so it almost felt like a private course. The books are very On point, without a lot of water added and very well structured overall. I learned a lot and feel more confident now to make a small conversation in Spanish. Thank You guys!

You will need to commit a lot of personal time outside of class to memorization and studying. The class time of 1.5 hours is limited to discussing the past weeks homework and going over the new chapters. As someone who has not been in school or had to study in a long time, this class was difficult for me. I did learn a lot, but I also felt I needed more time with the teacher.

Loved the course - our instructor was the best! Very interactive and well-structured. A lot of insights about Spanish from Spain and Spanish used in Latin America, which was fascinating for a European like me :)
