Basic Conversation

I am not sure which section this is for, but since I have already submitted an appreciative review of the Sunday at 8 am section for Basic Conversation, I'll review the Sunday at 11 am section this time. I have taken one session before with Gloria and find her an effective instructor. But she missed the first class, and I couldn't get any communication regarding the assignment for the second class. I'm relatively new to Spanish conversation and need some direction. The main reason for the low rating has nothing to do with the instruction: Two of the students in this class spend the class on their exercise treadmills, and I find this rude and distracting. So I decided to drop the class. But I wouldn't hesitate to take another class with Gloria.

Gloria is a superb teacher. She is very kind and interesting and knows how to keep the conversation lively and flowing. I was super nervous to take conversation class but I was able to overcome it because Gloria is an expert teacher.

Juan Carlos does a great job making sure that everyone gets a chance to talk. Topics are interesting. Also, I love being able to reschedule classes and knowing what countries teachers are from.

This class provides a great opportunity to practice speaking Spanish in a no stress environment. Gloria is a great teacher and is very patient with us.

I really enjoy this class! Mónica does a great job of coming up with interesting reading materials and conversation topics.

This was a very enjoyable and useful class. The instructor did a great job of engaging all the students in conversation. I feel that I was able to progress in both comprehension and speaking. Generally I prefer a more structured learning experience than this cl;ass provided, with announced topics and opportunity to prepare, but nonetheless this was a very positive experience.

Gloria is an excellent teacher! She makes conversations and learning fun! She inspires thought provoking conversations that encourage learning new concepts in Spanish

I was really nervous when I started this level because I was not comfortable speaking in Spanish. I must say that this level is great start to ease into speaking the language. I like the structure of the classes in that, we are provided with topics and "temas" as talking guides but still allowed to go off topics and speak with each other about interest etc..
